♥Who is this fair face♥
Character Name: Dorothy Gale
Age: 16 to 17ish
History: Dorothy Gale lives a simple life in rural Kansas with Aunt Em, Uncle Henry and three colorful farm hands. One day, strict neighbor Miss Almira Gulch is bitten by Dorothy's dog, Toto. Dorothy senses that Miss Gulch will try to do something dreadful, but her aunt and uncle, as well as the farmhands, are too busy to listen. Miss Gulch shows up with a court order and takes Toto away to be destroyed. Toto escapes and returns to Dorothy, who is momentarily elated. When she realizes that Miss Gulch will soon return, she decides to take Toto and run away. On their journey, Dorothy encounters Professor Marvel, a fake but kind and lovable fortune-teller who tricks her into believing Aunt Em is ill, so Dorothy will return home, as a storm is approaching. Dorothy rushes back to the farm just ahead of a sudden tornado. There, she takes shelter inside the house, where she is knocked unconscious by a loose window frame.
A confused Dorothy seems to awaken a few minutes later to discover the house has been caught up in the twister. Moments later, the twister drops the house back onto solid ground. Opening the door and stepping out, Dorothy finds herself in a village and parkland of unearthly beauty. Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, arrives magically. She informs Dorothy that she is in Munchkinland and that she has killed the ruby-slippered Wicked Witch of the East by "dropping a house" on her. In the tornado scenes Miss Gulch on her bicycle is seen transforming herself into a broomstick riding witch-implying she is the "Wicked Witch of the East".
Encouraged by Glinda, the timid Munchkins come out of hiding to celebrate the demise of the witch, while singing "Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead" and proclaiming Dorothy as their national heroine. The Wicked Witch of the West, makes a startling appearance claiming the powerful ruby slippers. Glinda magically transfers the slippers from the dead witch onto Dorothy's feet and reminds the Witch of the West that her power is ineffectual in Munchkinland. The witch vows revenge on Dorothy before leaving the same way she arrived. Glinda advises Dorothy to seek the help of the mysterious Wizard of Oz in the Emerald City in her quest to return home to Kansas; Glinda explains that she can find Emerald City by following the yellow brick road. She also advises Dorothy that she must never remove the slippers or she will be at the mercy of the Wicked Witch of the West.
On her way to the city, Dorothy meets a Scarecrow with no brain, a Tin Man with no heart, and a Cowardly Lion. The three decide to accompany Dorothy to the Wizard in hopes of obtaining their desires. Along the way, they behave in various ways which demonstrate that they already have the qualities they think they lack: the Scarecrow has several good ideas, the Tin Man is kind and sympathetic, and the Lion is ready to face danger even though he is terrified. The group reaches Emerald City, where they are greeted kindly. The group talks to the Wizard of Oz - a disembodied and imposing head with a booming voice - who says that he will consider granting their wishes if they can bring him the broomstick of the Wicked Witch.
On their way to the witch's castle, they are attacked by a gang of flying monkeys. These carry Dorothy and Toto away and deliver her to the witch. The Witch demands that Dorothy hand over the ruby slippers. After the witch threatens to kill Toto, Dorothy agrees to give her the shoes; but a shower of sparks prevents their removal. The witch says that the shoes cannot be removed unless Dorothy dies. While the witch is distracted, Toto takes the opportunity to escape. The witch then locks Dorothy in the chamber and leaves to consider how to kill Dorothy without damaging the shoes' magic. Toto finds Dorothy's friends and leads them to the castle. Once inside, they free Dorothy and attempt an escape. The witch and her Winkie soldiers corner the group on a parapet, where the witch sets the Scarecrow's arm on fire. To douse the flames, Dorothy throws water on them, while accidentally splashing water on the horrified witch, causing her to melt. To the group's surprise, the soldiers are delighted. Their captain gives Dorothy the broomstick in gratitude.
Upon their return to Emerald City, Toto inadvertently exposes the great and powerful wizard as a fraud; they find an ordinary man hiding behind a curtain operating a giant console which contains a group of buttons and levers. They are outraged at the deception, but the wizard solves their problems through common sense and a little double talk, rather than magic. He explains that they already had what they had been searching for all along and only need things such as medals and diplomas to confirm that someone else recognizes it.
The wizard explains that he too was born in Kansas and his presence in Oz was the result of an escaped hot air balloon. He promises to take Dorothy home in the same balloon, leaving the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion in charge of Emerald City. Just before takeoff, Toto, who saw a cat, jumps out of the balloon's basket; Dorothy jumps out to catch him and the wizard, unable to control the balloon, leaves without her. She is resigned to spend the rest of her life in Oz until Glinda appears and tells her that she has always had the power to return home. Glinda explains that she did not tell Dorothy at first because she needed to find out for herself that "The next time I go looking for my heart's desire, I won't look any further than my own backyard; if it's not there, then I never really lost it to begin with."
Dorothy says a tearful goodbye to the friends she has met in Oz, and then follows Glinda's instructions to get home. Then she awakens in her bedroom in Kansas surrounded by family and friends and tells them of her journey. Everyone laughs and tells her it was all a dream, except Uncle Henry, who says sympathetically "Of course we believe you, Dorothy". Toto appears and jumps onto the bed. A happy Dorothy, still convinced the journey was real, hugs Toto and says, "There's no place like home."
Personality: Dorothy is a kind hearted soul, but she often feels ignored by her aunt and uncle, and practically everyone. This often leads her to feel inferior despite the fact she tries to be outgoing. Despite this she remains kind and helps out when she can, or she wouldn't have allowed the scarecrow, tin man, and the lion to go with her on her journey to the Emerald City. She has the most kind spot though for friends in Wonderland, her aunt and uncle, and her scottish terrier Toto.
She often finds herself to be a dimsel in distress from time to time, and unsure of what to do. And when she is sure of something she sometimes does not think it through and just does it. So this can often lead her in to trouble, but luckily she has had wonderful friends to save her from all the troubles she got herself in. But despite that she seems like an independent dreamer who dreams of where the grass is greener, but she knows there is no place like home in Kansas.

But what was more odd was there was a wired looking person leaning against an object close to her. Her brown eyes kept hold on him, he looked very odd indeed. What an unusual hair color, was it green? Who in the world would be born with green hair? Unless... he'd come from Shamballa. Her eyes went wide with this realization, and she felt the temptation to ask him about Shamballa rising in her stomach. She wanted, no, she needed to know about Shamballa. But Edward had also advised her from not talking to other people from their world, he said some could not be trusted and were probably out to change us by any means possible. So she swallowed back her temptation and tore her eyes from Envy. She covered her face with her red scarf.
She then kept on walking forward, trying to ignore the fact she probably saw someone from Shamballa, and she refused the chance to ask him what it was like, was it more beautiful and less hateful then here? But she knew that entrance in to Shamballa now was impossible, so maybe it was best not to ask questions. She stopped at stand to get water. The man at the stand glared at her in a most vicious way. However, she was used to this so she stood there like a person normally would, and waited for the man to come back with a cantine to let her drink out of. When the man came back with it, and she placed the money on the table, the man seemed to loose a fuse, and screamed at her.
"What, did you steal that money from an innocent man's wallet?! Get out of here you filth! We don't need money from a thieving gypsy!"
She was taken a back, but scampered off a bit back to where Envy was before. She felt the anger boiling inside her, but she refused to speak about it. She huffed silently, there was no use in yelling about it, nothing would get solved anyway... that's how the government and the public were towards gypsies, people not of the Arian race, and one gypsy alone standing up to a crowd could be punishable by anything, even death. So she stood there, silent as the midnight wind. She really should head back to Edward now, she knew it was a bad idea to come here, she knew it. But she held no anger towards Edward, just the horrible prejudice and injustice other people showed towards her.

Noah kept walking, listening to the speculation that people were talking about. Of course, alchemists. Alchemists, alchemists, alchemists, that's all the public was speaking of. The looming war in Germany seemed to be placed on the back burner as these new and mysterious people were sprouting up everywhere. Noah herself never quite understood the whole thing of alchemy, Edward had tried explaining it to her once or twice, but she never fully understood it. Maybe that was a thing for people of other worlds to understand. She sighed as when she walked people would stop talking to glare at her. She knew what they were thinking...hid your wallet, the gypsy might steal it.
But what was more odd was there was a wired looking person leaning against an object close to her. Her brown eyes kept hold on him, he looked very odd indeed.
